Since Strategy Deployment is a "way of life" for an organisation and since the way to get there demands an integral effort that involves all players , we are convinced that 3 very important boundary conditions do apply w.r.t. the training- and education trajectories that are needed to support such change programme: As much as possible, training should take place on the job. This means that we will only use very short (1-2 days) training programmes (f.i. project management in programmes; communication management) off-line, that are connected to the "on the job" (f.i. strategy deployment) training programmes All trainers should use the same language; definitions and tools and should be able to position their effort in the Strategy Deployment exercise that it is part of independent of the topic of the training (project management ; programme management ; communication management etc). That is why we work with allies in this field (BP-Consult; IvO Nederland) that are familiar with our strategy deployment philosophy; language etc. We normally do not train horizontally (e.g. the population of project managers ; the project principals; line managers of a certain level etc) but vertically (project principals together with the project managers and his (key) team members
