The basic principle for this design is the contention that employees today have to be able to operate in an increasing number of roles (hierarchical, project and supply chain roles (the primary process)). Thus, the course is made up of 3 blocks (3 design-axis):
Hierarchy: Manager / employee role
Projects: Working in projects
Primary process: Working in the supply chain
Per (career transition) level in the professionalization programme and per design-axis, an inventory is made of:
The roles that are observed at this organisational level
The tasks the players have in the rol / roles
The level of complexity of the environment where the rol / roles have to be carried out
In order to then answer the central design question for the course:
"What determines success and failure" for someone:
with this role,
at this level in our organisation,
in an environment with this level of complexity,
that has these set of tasks.
Which competenties and skills are required?
What type of (managerial) dilemmas should he be able to deal with?
What are the central themes that play a role here?
For these KSF's, what can he influence and what can he not influence?
